I stumbled upon Meghan Quinn’s book by chance while poking around Kindle Unlimited and she’s been a go-to author when I want a fun read. This one didn’t disappoint.
Arlo is the all too uptight head of the English Department in the school. Greer is the new hire (whose hiring he disapproved). He likes to teach by true and tested methods and she is all full of novel ideas, as all new teachers are. They clash. And this is a MQ book, so they clash in some hilarious ways.
Since I was a teacher for all my professional life, I had a little bit of a hard time with suspension of disbelief here. Some stuff that happens in that prestigious school (and I taught at one) would NOT fly in the real world. AT ALL. But I guess that is what makes it so much fun to read them. Also, those teenagers are way to sweet to be real. LOL
If you want to have fun, reading and enemies to lovers story with some LOL moments, this book is definitely for you. Mr Darcy will never be the same to you!
Narration: If you had seen any of my reviews of a Zachary Webber narration you know he is my favorite. He definitely doesn’t disappoint here because, let’s just say it, Arlo is a little peculiar. And hot. So so freaking hot. So this was a treat not only to read but to listen too. Erin Mallon is a powerhouse. She is and incredible talented narrator and she is perfect for Greer! Don’t miss this one!
