There’s Something About Marysburg #3

Kindle Edition

Author: Olivia Dade

Sweetest in the Gale is a collection of three novellas, one new and two previously published by slightly edited, with epilogues added. I hadn’t read any of them, so all were new to me.

In Sweetest in The Gale, we see Candy Albright (the one with the over-the-top “initiatives” from Teach Me) dealing with grief and finding love with a teacher. It’s a sweet story of overcoming loss and finding love at the same time.

Unravelled is a gem! They assigned the super nerdy, super uptight Math teacher as a mentor to the newly hired artsy, free spirited art teacher. He initially disapproves every single thing about her: clothes, demeanor, her crazy murder dioramas… but she definitely unravels him. Very sweet and romantic.

Cover Me… Well, I confess I almost DNFed it when I saw the content warnings. It’s about Elizabeth, who lost her insurance coverage and she just found out she has a lump in her breast. Her longtime friends jumps up to the plate and offers to marry her so that she can have medical treatment. This marriage of convenience pretty soon turns into a real one. I am happy I went through with reading it. It’s not depressing at all and it definitely has an HEA. (I would add that the hero deals with the alcoholism of his ex-wife too as a trigger warning)

It’s a very nice book with characters from Marysburgh. Some of them make cameo appearances or are mentioned in the novellas, especially the ones set in the high school

Nice and sweet!

PS: All heroines in the book are plus sized women.

Possible triggers: loss of a sibling due to addiction, alcoholism, great cancer diagnose
