All Access #2

Author: Evie Mitchell

Annie is in a pickle: S#!T HAPPENS, the company she started to sell eco-friendly toilet paper is about to lose its major supplier to a competitor. The company is dear to her heart because she suffers from Chrohn’s disease and she knows personally what it is to see yourself in the middle of a flare up with no toilet paper at home. She’s been searching high and low for a new supplier when an unexpected opportunity appears. It’s an amazing offer to not only have a supplier but to partner up and own half the business. It couldn’t better. The only teensy problem in all this is that the offer comes from Lincoln, the one who got away.

Lincoln loved Annie with all his heart, but when his life goes down the toilet, he flushes her along with all the troubles. Now he sees an opportunity to save his company and get back the girl who never lost his heart.

It’s been ten years – time enough for all wounds to heal… or to fester. Can they go back to the love they had?

I was waiting for this one because I (WARNING, TMI coming your way! ) totally sympathize with Annie. Although I don’t have Crohn’s disease, I know what it is to basically feel like you would get into a burning building, use the bathroom and THEN call the fire department. My friends already know when I have “the look” on my face it’s time to scan the premises and find me a restroom. Like NOW.  So I was really interested in reading her story. It didn’t disappoint. She is a badass woman, who has her own business, who knows what she wants, who battles her disease like a warrior.

I also loved Lincoln. I know he did a crappy thing to Annie, but when you know why, you still don’t like that he did it, but you understand. This is a very low angst book and I really appreciated that. I would have liked to see some sort of resolution in terms of Lincoln and his brother’s relationship with their obnoxious mother. I so wanted SOMETHING. (Well, I wanted blood! lol)

Also, I do NOT kink shame anyone, but let it be known to any gentlemen reading this that if you whisper in my year, calling me “baby girl” and “Come to Daddy”, I’m out. I will cringe so hard I will never get back to un-cringed. Just sayin’…

Waiting for the next ones in the series!!!
