Author: Talia Hibbert

This is a nice Christmas story with some very serious subjects woven inside.

Cash Evans is a tattoo artist. A rich and famous tattoo phenom if you will, but he’s grumpy and guarded and pretty much looks like the stereotypical tattoo parlor owner: leather jacket, tattoo sleeves, long hair… but there is a soft spot hiding inside him. It’s this soft spot that makes him stop at a coffee shop every day and order a “surprise drink” from Bailey, the cute little barista that he can’t seem to get out of his mind. Bailey also gets all flustered when “Hot coffee guy” shows up.

One day, she ends up losing her job because she was giving shelter at the coffee shop to a homeless young man. Cash not only helps the young man, but also offers her a job.

He’s fighting demons and has vowed never to be with someone for longer than 90 days. Bailey, on the other hand, doesn’t believe that love is a good thing. But they are working together and it’s Christmas…

I really enjoyed this one. In true Talia Hibbert style, we get diversity and representation and she doesn’t shy away from hard topics. I absolutely fell in love with Cash and Bailey and rooted for them all the way.

Possible triggers and rep: domestic abuse, homelessness and intrusive thoughts. LGBTQIA+ rep and the heroine and author are black.
