Kindle Unlimited (Read and Listen) – e-book and audiobook

Author: Meghan Quinn

Narrators: Teddy Hamilton and Laurie West

The synopsis of this one got me hooked immediately: Cooper’s parents are worried about his love life. Since the divorce, Cooper has just been hanging around with them, stuck in a perpetual funk. The adorable duo then has this genius idea: they are going to take Cooper out to a bar and be his wingpersons!

Since this has the potential to be the most humiliating night of his life, he decides to take them to a dive bar, where the chances of them finding him a “nice girl” are slim to none.

Surprise, surprise! All of sudden his parents are hugging the woman at the end of the bar! WHAT. THE. HELL. And it is indeed a what-the-hell moment, as they’re hugging no one other than his ex-wife’s best friend Nora, whom they’ve known since forever.

The polite thing to do is sit and talk a bit, but he’s not counting on being ditched by his parents who are convinced they indeed found him the “nice girl” they were looking for.

So Nora and Cooper start talking and talking and soon they realize that they are indeed attracted to each other… and they have THE ONE NIGHT.

Here’s the thing: I LOVED IT and I HATED IT. Let me explain, it’s freaking good but it ends in a freaking cliffhanger and The Reunion, to which this novella is a prequel, comes out in two months! Y’all know how I can’t deal with cliffhangers. So now I have this story in my hands that I loved and I NEED to know what happens to Cooper and Nora! *stompsfootonthefloor*

/tantrum over/

But this is all my fault, as I went absolutely blind into this. Don’t blame Meghan Quinn, because as far as teasers go, this one does its job spectacularly!

Can’t wait for The Reunion now!

Narration: Teddy Hamilton is great as Cooper and Laurie West is a completely new narrator to me.
