Well Met Series #1

E-book, Kindle Edition

Author: Jen DeLuca

When Emily relocated to Willow Creek, Maryland, to help her sister recover from a car accident, she expected taking care of things, being the designated chauffeur and gopher. What she didn’t expect, was to be roped into volunteering at the local Renaissance Faire. It’s either that or her niece won’t be able to join. She also didn’t expect Simon,  the buttoned-up, anal English teacher that runs the Faire with a tight fist. It’s mutual dislike from the start. He thinks she’s not taking anything serious. She thinks he needs to lighten up.

But when the costumes are on and Emily becomes a lovely bar wench and Simon turns into a debonair pirate, all bets are off.

Weeks of prepping for the faire and six weeks of full on pretending surely can make Emily start to think that she can make a life for her in this tiny town… and in Simon’s life.

I went completely blind for this one and I really loved it! The Faire setting and the small town are fun. The whole thing is sweet and cute as hell.

I love a grumpy hero and I like how Simon was portrayed. It’s also easy to see where Emily is coming from. It was fun to see them get together! Definitely reading book 2!
