Narrators: Connor Crais and Natalie Duke

Sebastian Stremmel is the hospital grump. The last thing he needs around him is cheerful, peppy Sara Shapiro, the new reconstructive plastic surgeon. She gets under his skin like nobody’s business and he can turn her into a banshee from hell. So much so, that, after one of their heated “confrontations” one of the exams rooms ends up looking like it was hit by a “tiny tornado”. Their shenanigans warrant them 8 weeks of mandatory “conflict resolution management”. But these two doctors in their late 30s and early 40s are acting out like the little kids in the playground, where the proverbial pigtails are pulled and names are called. We soon find out that this also comes with an intense sexual attraction… and wow, hate sex can be so good… but also extremely complicated…

Thank you my darling @mrsrony for so vehemently recommending this audiobook. It’s so freaking good!!!! The banter and the bickering is perfect and their “homework” assignments are just hilarious! And ooooooof, the private sessions they have… *fans self*

Sebastian is that obnoxious grump that everyone seems to secretly love and Sara is impossible not to relate to (a woman in a man’s world, still being judged on being her father’s daughter and not on her own merits. She’s dealing with some pretty heavy stuff and we can’t help but feel for her. I’d be a screech owl in her place too. I also love that these are “older” people, with real life “adult” crap to deal with. For the fans of caretaking, there are some great scenes there.

Also, every single character in this book is likable, even the snarky intern. This book can definitely be read as a standalone but we can read about all the other doctors because they have their own books out already. LOVED IT!

Narration: Here I go again singing praises to Connor Crais, but what can I say? The man is ridiculously talented and Sweet. Baby. Jay. Zoos. Sebastian is hot and Connor’s voice cranks the  heat up to 11.  Natalie Duke is a new narrator for me and I freaking loved her! She’s now in my roster of favorites.  This was already a great book to begin with and the narration elevated it to an even higher level.
