Harris Brothers World Standalone

e-book, KU / Audiobook, Audible

Author: Amy Dawes

Narrators: Will Watt and Charlotte Cole

Freya Cook is an accomplished seamstress. She’s about to turn 30 with a secret nagging in her brain – she still has her “maiden tag”. As a plus size girl, she’s always been insecure about her body and has a hard time around guys. Enter Maclay ‘Mac’ Logan, her loud-mouthed, ginger, tatted up Scottish best friend who happens to be a famous footballer. Up until now, “Netflix and Bickering” has been their favorite past-time, until Mac finds out Freya’s “predicament” and volunteers as tribute, so to speak. He will teach her everything about “The Sex”. He will be her Love Coach. Well, they already love each other – as friends. What will mind-blowing sex do to this friendship, even if they agree to put an end date to it and a “no feeling” clause? Complications… lots of them.

I just loved this friends to lovers rom com! Though I find that Freya’s naïveté hard to believe in this day and age, it certainly adds a comedic element. She’s also VERY self-conscious about her size, (which I can totally relate, being a plus sized woman in the land of tiny bikinis), but I love how Mac counteracts every time she puts herself down.

To be honest, my favorite thing about this book is their FRIENDSHIP. They truly love each other before ending up being “in love”. They know and care for each other deeply and it’s really beautiful.

Mac is ADORABLE – the gruff, tatted up giant of a man is a true cinnamon roll hero! LOVED IT!

This is part of series, but can definitely be read a standalone.

Possible Triggers: body image issues, death of a loved relative

Narration: Will Watt and Charlotte Cole. Let’s just say I never cared for a Scottish accent… until now. Oooof…
