Logan Creek #3

e-book, Kindle

Author: Kimberly Ann

Zach Richardson thought he had it all: he’s about to expand his microbrewery, he’s just opened a successful tasting room, the bar is a success… so everything should feel great, right? Well, it’s come to his attention (and to everyone else’s in his life) that he basically “has no life”. He’s become married to his job. So when he gets paired yup with a lovely red-haired bridesmaid at his friends’ wedding, he starts feeling like she, and her two adorable children, have the exact shape of that hole in heart.

Mandy Adams has no room for romance in her life. After losing her husband three years ago, she now barely has time for her kids and her job. So, when the long-haired, tatted brewery owner seems to take residence in her thoughts, she doesn’t know what to do with it. Will Mandy be able to give Zach a chance?

Book 3 in the Logan Creek series, but definitely a standalone, this was a delightful read! Zach is prime boyfriend material! He’s obviously dealing with his responsibilities as a brewery owner and having to come to terms that he really really wants “an instant family”. He has a little bit of trouble navigating those waters, but that big heart of his definitely gets the girl.. and the kids.

Mandy’s doubts and resistance are completely understandable and relatable. After all, she has just taken her kids through the journey of losing a father and bringing a new man into her life can be daunting. She’s also having to deal with feelings of “betraying” Michael, which is also completely understandable as he was her first and only love.

It was a sweet but oh so spicy read! It has the good old small town charm (and I loved that it is a CANADIAN small town, which I appreciate, because mostly all Canadian writers I have read so far have set their books in the US). I loved how they all wear “toques”! <3

Highly recommend!
