The Walsh Family #1

KU ebook, Anyplay audiobook

Author: Kate Canterbary

Narrators: Lucy Rivers and Christian Fox

Lauren Halsted has a plan: build a school

and  get it running. She doesn’t have time for distractions. Building/renovating that school means she’ll need an architect, and when she literally falls into Matt Walsh’s warms while inspecting a building to buy, she knows she is in trouble. She won’t let him deviate her from her plan – but he’s absolutely irresistible. She’ll run… but he will be right behind chasing her.

The first in The Walsh Family series, this is not only Matt and Lauren’s love story but also great introduction to the family who runs a sustainable preservations architectural firm in Boston. We meet all the brothers and the sisters, as well as their horrible father.

These books are interconnected with other series, so we also hear get a glimpse of the Commodore (he’s Lauren’s father) and Nick Acevedo, the doctor, who’s Matt’s best friend.

An excellent kickstart to the series! Off to book #2!

Narration: why oh why did Christian Fox stop narrating? I know he’s focusing on his acting and musical career, but he’s sooooo good! He’s paired in this with Lucy Rivers, another amazing narrator.

Possible triggers: toxic relationship with a parent; homophobia (a slur is used on page by a secondary character); death of a parent
