Isabel Gardner’s life is on the way to success. She’s about to get her engineering degree, she’s dating a guy from a prestigious family and everything seems to have fallen into place. Until her best friend and roommate drops a bomb on her: her brother, Tristan Havenford, has been released from jail and is coming to live with them. Him being an ex-con would be a bit of a problem, but the worst part is that Isabel had a massive crush on him all through her life and he humiliated her and broke her heart. She was never able to resist his charm so how is she going to be living under the same roof with him?

Tristan really loved being Suncrest Valley’s residential bad boy. He was having fun with that until a horrible accident destroyed all his hopes and dreams. Now, he’s back home in a town where nobody wants him, living in an apartment with the girl he can’t have. No one wants him back. So why does Isabel still look at him with the same loving eyes, making him hope and wish for a future he knows he can’t have?

This book wrecked me (no pun intended). You can feel the moment you meet Tristan that he’s not what everyone thinks of him. When secrets start being revealed you just want to hug him.

Aly knows how to break your heart into a million little pieces but she also mends it back in an incredibly satisfactory way. Tristan and Isabel go through so much to get their HEA that you see yourself actually cheering for them.

This very beautiful story is a standalone, but if you, like me, are a fan of the Wreck Me series , you’ll get a little treat when Ashton and Iris (along with her dad) make an appearance.

Gut-wrenchingly beautiful!

Rep and possible triggers: Tristan’s mom is Hispanic/Latinx. MMC is suffering from trauma due to his incarceration, an act of violence is committed against a MC on page, FMC is in an emotionally abusive relationship, parental abandonment

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you, Aly Styles for the advanced copy.
