But there is something about this Artie person than can be very dangerous to the audiobook industry. The “Narwal” and his friends will band together because nope, they are not having it!
If you, like me, are an audiobook enthusiast, you’ve certainly listened to Erin Mallon’s wonderful audioplays. In this third installment of These Walls Can Talk, “Skynet” is real and is about to replace our beloved narrators! (Or at least they’ll try!) Nope! No! Never! Jason Clarke is incredible as the AI robot who’s apparently become sort of sentient – and also kinda scary. The story is hilarious but yeah, we know people are using synthetic voices to narrate several things. We’ve become accustomed to the Siris and Alexas but NOTHING will replace these talented people because narration is an A R T.
So, my shoutout to the amazing cast: Joe Arden, Andi Arndt, Jason Clarke, Shane East, Tanya Eby, Teddy Hamilton, Erin Mallon, Maxine Mitchell and Emma Wilder. You guys can never be replaced!

Possible “triggers”: Well, I was definitely “triggered” by the very idea of a synthetic voice reading my books. NOPE. NO. NEVER. NOOOOOOOOOO.
(I understand the amazing thing it is for the people who are unable to read with their eyes to have a voice to read to them. It is wonderful. This is not what I am screaming against. )
