Name In Lights #1

Audible audiobook

Author: Kayley Loring

Narrators: Mackenzie Cartwright and Teddy Hamilton

Shane Miller can’t sleep. His stress level is off the charts. His nanny just quit and his ex-wife took off for two months with her new husband to film in Poland, leaving him with no nanny and his twins – 5-year old Summer and Lucky. Fuck his life.

He adores his kids but he’s burning the candle at both ends. So when his best friend suggests that his sister take the job as a temp nanny, he jumps at the opportunity. She’s no Mary Poppins, hates his movies, doesn’t take any of his crap and his kids adore her. Too bad he’s got the major hots for the nanny…. his best friend’s little sister!!!

Willa Todd has had a major crush on Shane Miller even since he starred in a teen show with her brother. She made a fool of herself when they met years ago and now he can’t even remember her name! Willow?! Really?? Willow?!  But she needs a job while she sets up her perfume business and a she can’t pass up the opportunity to spend some time with Shane. Now, she’s totally in love with his kids too! Drats!

Hot dad, cool nanny… yeah that’ll work…

This is my whateverth time listening to this audiobook, but I’ve come to realize that, even though I am a borderline Kayley Loring stan, I read most of her books before I started reviewing. That means I haven’t properly shown my love for these books here.

I looooove this series! It’s the low key intro to the “lazy wingmen” too, whom I adore! It’s a nice, low angsty, fun read with wonderful characters. I love how Shane is dedicated to his kids. The kids are absolutely adorable. Summer is a hoot with her Marie Kondo obsession and her pocket snacks. Lucky is stinking cute! Willa is no pushover heroine – she may look sweet, but Shane won’t know what hit him.

Love it! This book is “so wizard!”. 😉

Narration: Mackenzie Cartwright is “the voice of Kayley Loring’s lady parts” and she’s just amazing at anything she does and no one could be a better Shane Miller than Teddy Hamilton. It was a joy to listen! (I know. I’ve done it a few times!)
