Redemption Hills #3

Author: A. L. Jackson

Narrators: Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber

Logan Lawson is your quintessential “fun guy” – the “life of the party” playboy, the coolest uncle to Gage and Juni Bee… but underneath it all lies a heart that’s deeply hurt. “You can’t keep shining when you only shine to cover the darkness you hold onto.” He’s gone legit (almost) when his brothers flew the MC family they were raised into, but his thrill-seeking ways send him to an illegal card game. And in one of these games, he wins her in a bet – the woman who broke him.

Aster Costa can’t believe her eyes when she sees the man who sealed her fate, condemning her to a life worse than death. Now her horrible husband lost her in a bet to the man who destroyed. Logan was responsible for what happened to her and now she’ll beg him to help her escape the world never wanted to belong to. She never forgot him. He never wanted to leave her. Now Fate threw them together. This time he will keep her. She was his “little star” and he was her “North Star” and they finally found their way back to each other.

OMG, what a ride! I’ve been in love with the Lawson boys from the start and I have a soft spot for Logan. I knew there had to be something dark underneath all that devil-may-care attitude and boy, it was a doozy! This story made laugh, cry, gasp and have really dark thoughts against the people who kept the “little star” away from the “North Star”.

This is Amy at her best – her almost lyrical style is perfectly matched to this dark fairytale-like story. There is a princess, there is an evil monster and there is our tarnished hero. They’ll go through a veritable quest to get to their HEA, but it’s so worth it.

Absolutely loved it! I’m drained, but I loved it!

Narration: You get Zachary Webber being dark and swoony and Erin Mallon being both vulnerable and badass. A thousand stars for the duo.

Possible triggers: I’m not going too be specific to avoid major spoilers, but this is a dark tale where unspeakable things happen to the MCs. (Contact me for further details if needed)

I voluntarily read/listened and reviewed an advanced copy of this (audio)book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.  Thank you @aljacksonauthor and @valentine_pr_ for the advanced copies.
