The Steeles of Silver Island #4

Author: Melissa Foster

Tara Osten has known Levi Steele  all her life…and she has loved him that long. She’s known since she was 8 that the was the love of her life, but she didn’t count on her sister getting in the way.

When, at the age of 19, Levi found out he was going to be a father and his one-night hook-up with Amelia Osten produced a baby she doesn’t plan to keep, he steps up. With the help of his parents and, most of all, Tara, he’s been raising a wonderful little girl. Tara’s been the best aunt and a true friend and he’s put his life on hold. All is well until his brother Archer starts putting thoughts about Tara in his head. Well, not really, those thoughts have always been there, shoved all the way to the back of his mind. He can’t afford to lose a friend and his daughter can’t afford to lose her beautiful, loving aunt, so he’d better shove those thoughts where they belong. Pesky thing about thoughts: they do as they please.

I have been rooting for Levi, Tara and Joey ever since they popped up, I believe, in one of the Harborside books and I couldn’t be happier with their story! Who would have thought that Levi was such a dirty talker?! (Well, he’s a Steele!) Single dad catnip! And Tara, “The Mouse”, has grown into a wonderful woman who just needed the confidence to get what she always wanted. A lovely, low-angst, friends to lovers romance!

If you are a fan of Melissa’s books like myself, you’ll be happy with several cameos from beloved characters from Silver Island and Harborside!

Possible triggers: toxic relationship with a parent, toxic relationship with a sibling, child abandonment

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you, Melissa, for the copy.
