Brody Walker has been an all-work-and-no-play young man ever since his parents died and he inherited the farm. When his close friends drag him to a camping trip, the last thing he was expecting to find was the love of his life. Kade wasn’t expecting to fin hers either. They spend an idyllic weekend together and then, as they part ways, decide to try the long distance thing and figure things out so that they can stay together.  All goes well until Kade heads to Logan Creek to see Brody and the first person she meets in town is, WTH, Brody’s girlfriend! Kade takes off, feeling betrayed. She freezes him off for five years until she buys her aunt’s dream bakery… and it’s located in Logan Creek.

A sweet, small town, second chance romance. I loved Brody and Kade but I wanted to smack them upside the head every single time they let things go south because of miscommunication. I adored their friends Lila and Travis, who are constantly knocking some sense into their heads! Sweet story and nice introduction to Logan Creek.

Narrators:  Heather Firth and Alan Carlson. He is new to me. They’re both Canadian, which I loved! This story is very much Canadian and it’s refreshing to see an author staying true to their roots. I loved the subtle accents!

Thank you, Kim, for the audiobook!
