Wendy Finnegan is a theater nerd. She hasn’t had much time to dedicate to anything else other than raising her daughter Neen all by herself since she was a teenager. When the opportunity arises for her to be the stage manager of the most awful play ever written (but starred by the sexy soup maker she’s been crushing on forever), she says “hell yeah!”. And whaddya know, he’s been crushing on her too…

This novella was originally published in the Smartasses Anthology. Now in audio format, you get all the fun narrated by the author herself. I’m always in awe as how Erin Mallon has the ability to, in a very short story (the audiobook is around two hours long), give you fleshed out characters and a very satisfying story.

This one is cute, sweet, and a nod to theater nerds everywhere. A must listen!

NOTE: Kudos to Erin’ Mallon’s husband for coming up with the most hilarious soup names ever!
