One of the things I like most about Debra Anastasia’s books is that she’s a non-conformist. This is her latest genre-bending story and I have no idea what to call it! Mafia? Yes! Comedy? Oh yeah, I definitely LOLed. Action thriller suspense-y romance maybe? I don’t know! She doesn’t stay in one lane or color inside the lines. Think inside the box? She threw the box away a long time ago, maybe with Mercy (an all-time favorite of mine).
I’m not going to give you many details of plot here because going blind is half the fun but expect kidnappings, “reverse kidnappings” (trust me! LOL), mistaken identities (or not…) and a reunion with Nix, Animal, T, Lock, Ember and a Mercy baby!
It is indeed a “Mafia” book, but most of all it is a book about “found family” – of finding your crew, your pack, your sisterhood, and knowing that, no matter what, they’ll be there for you and have your back.
Loved it!
