Hockey Guys #2

Author: Sarina Bowen

Narrators: Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton

Tommaso has been recently traded to Colorado and he couldn’t be happier to be away from his “legacy” of being in a hockey family – one that has been a true nightmare in his life. Being traded means new digs and he finds himself a beautiful home that right now is absolutely empty but for a mattress and a TV. When he ventures into the hellish world of a furniture shop (where he’s completely lost, whodda thunk that there’d be forty thousand types of sofa?!), he has the most adorable meet cute with Carter, an interior designer he finds utterly alluring.

Carter is in a pickle: dumped bay his boyfriend/business partner, who left him knee deep in debt, he can’t believe his luck when the clueless tall, dark and hunky stranger hires him on the spot to decorate his whole house. Carter has no idea who he is. They start the project. Tommaso turns out to be famous hockey player pretty much deep in the closet, but they can’t seem to be able to stay away from each other.

I was absolutely thrilled when I got the opportunity to listen to this early. I loved this book HARD. Sarina always writes believable characters but Carter and Tommaso jump off the page. You feel for Tommaso and his horrible relationship with his famous “hockey legacy” relatives from hell. What wastes of oxygen! You root for Carter to find his footing again. But, most of all, you root for them to be together. No 3rd act breakup, no relationship drama. Just two soulmates finding their way to each other. Funny, swoony, sexy and beautiful!

Narration: It’s Jeddy, y’all! Jacob is incredible as the grumpy, broody Tommaso and he is absolutely fantastic when turns on “Teddyspeak” for the the Carter lines. Brilliant! Teddy is the perfect choice for the adorable and sweet Carter. Those two together are an experience! A million stars!
