Whitlock Family #2

Author: Corinne Michaels

When Addison moved to Sugarloaf, she wanted a fresh start. She loved her life in Rose Canyon with her little girl, but she was suffocating in memories of her late husband…

Grady Whitlock is finding his footing as a single dad. He tragically lost his wife when Jett was a few weeks old and he was still a Navy fighter pilot. Now, he’s temporarily living with his sister, trying to get his private jet business off the ground and doing his best to be the dad his little boy needs.

A chance meeting at the kids’ drop off and soon Grady and Addy figure out that a mutual arrangement can be very beneficial to both: she needs a date for a wedding back home who’ll convince her family and friends that she’s doing fine and he needs a “girlfriend” to show investors he’s a stable and reliable family man. Too bad for them that fake never felt so real…

I had been waiting with bated breath for Addy’s story and it was perfect! They come from opposites places in life: she wants to love again and he never wants to feel that vulnerable again. Ever. Pretty soon, the whole town realizes that these two were meant to be and we are right there rooting for them!

It’s hard to write children in romance novels but Elodie and Jett are an integral part in this and they are precious!

It’s Corinne, so expect an emotional read but, just like in Asher’s book before this one, she was feeling benevolent and didn’t rip out hearts to shreds. She did, as she always does, hit us in all the feels! All the heartstrings are expertly pulled in the way only she can do!

I loved being able to read this in advance and to catch up with everyone in Rose Canyon… plus a few Arrowoods!
Absolutely lovely!
