I must confess I wasn’t too keen on picking this one up because I wasn’t too impressed with the Dreamland billionaires (I’m in the minority, I know…) but I was convinced to try the audiobook and I was hooked!
I always say casting is key for audiobooks and it was PERFECTLY done here! Vanessa Vasquez, who’s becoming a favorite, IS Dahlia, showcasing her feisty personality as well as her vulnerabilities. She’s also a hoot as the meddling Latinx mamás. Noah B. Perez (new to me and I can’t forgive myself for taking so long to find him!) is SWOONY as Julian, a man who’s been in love with Dahlia since third grade.
It was a joy to listen to this duet performance! I can’t wait for Rafa’s and Lorenzo’s books now!
