In this short but adorable novella, we Lena Turner (Mallory’s best friend and also a psychic and a witch) have her second chance with the love of her life. She’s happy as a school teacher, but when Mason Coulter, who left her behind to pursue his career as a bona fide “Indiana Jones”, shows up with a request for her to join him on a “quest” set up by his late aunt, she can’t say no.
An ode to Indiana Jones type of adventures, this novella is fun and cute! Lena and Mason go on a scavenger hunt together set up in his aunt’s will and realize that they belong together.
My only complaint about this is that it could have been a full book with more time for things to develop more organically.
