Toronto Terror #2

When Hollis Hendrix sees a beautiful woman doing some sort of victory dance in the hall at the Terror’s, he’s immediately smitten. Well, until she turns and to his horror it’s her: Peggy Aurora Hammerstein, the team’s unofficial princess and HIS BEST FRIEND’S DAUGHTER! He can’t unsee her now, how she’s grown up to be a beautiful, competent, powerful and ambitious woman. He’ll get through it. He’ll smother this insane attraction to death. He would never mess with his friendship with Roman or mess with the team.

What he doesn’t know is that Aurora is way ahead of him. She’s had teenage crush on him that’s pretty much developed into something more adult so to speak. So what if he still sees her as a kid? She can flirt, right? She can still lie on his bed when he’s on away games and she has to feed his cats. She can still steal his t-shirts and return them later. And she can press one one of his buttons or two… And whoa, it’s working! But he’ll never cross that line, right? Well, she can only keep trying…

I absolutely devoured this father’s best friend, age gap (not too bad, as Roman was a teenage dad), hockey romance. I love the Toronto Terror family and Hollis and Hammer’s story is sweet, spicy and hilarious! (Bat “devices” and scrunchies for the win! LOL) I wanted to shake them both at times for reasons, but I got where both were coming from.

As always, the secondary characters are just perfect. If you miss Rex and Tristan and the rest of team, they are pretty much part of the integral part of the story!

Magnificently narrated by Stella Bloom and Zachary Webber in dual style. Stella gives you all the funny, vulnerable and sassy sides of Aurora’s personality and Zach makes you swoon with poor Hollis, who’s being hit in the head by these feelings for his best friend’s daughter.

Helena Hunting never disappoints and this one is hilariously perfect! Highly recommend!

Thanks, Helena and Good Girls PR for letting me enjoy this early!
