The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside #2

ALC provided by author

Author: Melissa Foster

Narrators: Jennifer Mack and Aiden Snow

Leah has been living a quiet life as a waitress at The Salty Hog, a bar owned by members of the Dark Knights.

Her life is pretty full, raising her little nieces and helping her young brother find his footing in life. She loves working at the bar, but she’s always a little skittish around Tank Wicked, one of the owners’ sons. He’s huge and intimidating but everyone around her assures her Tank is as good as gold. He’s a Dark Knight, a tattooist and volunteer firefighter.

Tank has been eyeing Leah since she started working at the bar. He stays aways from her as he senses her discomfort but Fate puts him in her life in the most tragic way. Now, he’s in Leah’s and her girls’ lives and he just can’t stay away.

I read this when it first came out and I jumped at the opportunity to listen to the new audiobook. Narrated in dual style by Jennifer Mack and Aiden Snow, this is audio heaven. Aiden Snow is perfect as the giant of a man with his booming voice that can also show immense tenderness. But, the star of this is definitely Jennifer Mack. She gives Leah a delightful subtle North Carolina accent and she portrays the young woman who’s being put through the wringer in a phenomenal performance. Special kudos to the amazing work she does as the little girls. She makes them even more adorable.

Yes, this will break your heart, but you will end up with a smile on your face.

Thank you, Melissa for the audiobook!
