Grace and Liam have known each other since their teens, when Liam was billeted with her family, The Bukowskis. He was her friend first but soon her brother became his best friend and he shoved all the feelings he had for Gracie deep inside.
Gracie is tired of living in the shadow of her hockey god brothers to the point that she leaves Canada and moves to NYC. She can live without her family fine, but it’s Liam she misses the most.
Everything changes when after a horrible incident, Liam is mysteriously traded to the less than stellar NY Stars and and they are now living in the same city.
Liam won’t let this golden opportunity pass. Gracie will be happy to be there for him. They just need to deal with the Bukowskis.
I love a boy obsessed and Liam definitely fits the bill. Gracia is no pushover as she had to deal with one of the most horrible families I read in recent year. Their relationship is solid and swoon worthy and I rooted for them from page 1.
I understand that this book has a lot of “cameos” from characters in Serena’s mob and MC worlds. I know this is a treat for fans, but I must confess that I had to take a moment to get situated with such a huge cast of characters. I’m sure if you are familiar with them it was a delight because I sure love when it happens to me. Hang in there and you’ll figure out who’s who.
Narration here is great! Narrated in duet by Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton, who are perfectly cast. I love when Samantha plays a feisty heroine and I adore a mellow Teddy! I also love how the text convos and blog entries are included, making it more fun to listen.
Liam and Gracie are definitely couple goals!
