Jax and Sasha meet during a dispute over a shopping cart at the grocery store. Ever the gentleman, Jax helps sort it out and they have a fun, banter filled conversation… until he tells her his last name. What he doesn’t know, and she has just realized, is that she is the new manager of the resort and, technically, he’s her boss. It becomes clear when she pretends to have never met him when they are officially introduced, that their “meet cute” is going nowhere.

Sasha is in Montana temporarily. She’s there for reasons we won’t know for most of the book and the last thing she needs is to get involved with her boss. It doesn’t matter that he is totally charming.

A work function, a few glasses  of champagne, forced proximity and they can’t resist anymore. Sasha kind of ghosts him afterwards, but two lines show up on a pregnancy test…

Oh my heart, I loved this one! You definitely get a soft spot for Jax because of his past and you are intrigued by Sasha’s secrets.  I love the way they found to learn about each other (“Tell me a secret.” “Tell me a lie.”) and how committed they are to the little one that surprised them.

The audiobook is narrated dual style by Ava Erickson and Stephen Dexter. Ava’s sweet tone is perfect for the hurting and vulnerable Sasha, who’s trying her best to stay afloat and to navigate her feelings for Jax and the new pregnancy. Stephen’s deep and charismatic voice also fits the cocky but sentimental cowboy to a T.

A romance in the snowy Montana mountains, full of family drama, mysterious letters, “secrets and lies”, a lot of healing and lots of love. I absolutely loved their story!

Thanks, Devney and ValentinePR for the advanced listen.
