The very pregnant woman, with mustard stains on her shirt, is absolutely fascinating. Things get even more fascinating when a couple of hours later Baz finds her by the side of the road, crouching down and about to give birth! Bad immediately comes to her rescue and helps deliver the cutest baby boy.
If you know the Wickeds, you’ve met Baz before and you just know his protective instincts kicked in as soon as he held that baby in his hands. He immediately summons the whole family to step in and help when he realizes that Emerson is completely alone in town. I loved seeing those two fall in love with the aid of the cutest spike haired little boy and Ollie the dog.
Baz is top tier book boyfriend material, especially to Emerson, who actually edits romance novels! The whole family is pretty present in this book, which is always a joy to Melissa’s fans.
This story is like a warm hug. A heroine that wants to be the best mom she can be, while still healing from losing her own parents. A hero who is loyal to a fault, who has killer dimples and who will do anything to protect the ones he loves. A wonderful family who is always ready to welcome a new member. Best friends who care deeply for each other. And lots of spice! All the ingredients you’d expect in a Melissa Foster book.
I am in love with Baz, Em, Brennan and Ollie!
