Moonlit Rigdge #1

Author: A.L. Jackson

River Tate is living a “quiet” life, running his tattoo shop and raising his little boy with the help of his sister. He has a troubled past, having escaped life in a violent MC in LA. It’s this troubled past that leads him to live a secret life with the help of his friends.

One day, Charleigh enters his shop, wanting to tattoo a touching phrase on her arm. He feels an instant connection to her, but he knows his secret life prevents him from pursuing any deeper relationships. But to his surprise, he finds out that she’s his baby sister’s new bestie.

Charleigh is broken. We can tell that she’s a woman on the run and that her wounds are deep and open. She knows she should stay away from anyone, let alone this mountain of a man and his adorable little boy, but the pull is irresistible – to both of them.

Secrets and hurts could keep them apart, but apparently the Universe put them in each other’s paths for a reason. From here to to eternity.

I was immediately hooked by this story! I loved that it’s connected to my favorite series, Redemption Hills, and that we catch up a bit with some characters (I love the Lawsons!). You get immediately invested in the secrets and in the emotional small town romance. Like in all A. L. Jackson’s book, you fall in love with the characters and this one is no exception. Yep, River is as morally gray as it gets, but let’s just say he’s justifiably so.

Narrated dual style by Andi Arndt and Austin Stone. Andi is phenomenal as the woman who wants desperately to escape her past and who’s carrying the worst pain a person can carry. Austin embodies the alpha, “touch her and die” hero who will take a bullet for those he loves.

Great kickstart for a new series!

Thanks, Amy and Valentine PR for the advanced copy!
