The Toronto Terror #3

Dallas Bright, the Toronto Terror forward, has been in love with Wilhelmina Reddi-Grinst since third grade. Too bad one incident back in school put him on her shit list permanently. Now, she’s the PR badass boss of the team and he may finally right the wrongs of the past. But one drunk post on social media and he’s in big trouble. Everyone now thinks that they’re in love and Wills/Hemi has to go along with it to avoid major disaster as there is a no fraternization clause for team employees. It’s the chance of a lifetime for Dallas and he will not waste it!
I’m absolutely, completely, irrevocably in love with Dallas! The cinnamon roll hero is to die for! He has all the “who did this to you?” and “touch her and die” vibes while being an adorable golden retriever. I had so much seeing Wills figure out why Dallas has endured clowns, sauerkraut pierogis, and every horrible PR stunt she has thrown at him with a smile on his face. I also loved Wills – she’s a badass and she’s been paying for it (as all strong women do one way or another) since she was a kid. I loved how Dallas embraced all of her and, to him, her “saltiness” just adds more spice.
All the Terrors are back as well as the Badass Babe Brigade and they are always fun. This might be my favorite in the series so far!
Narrated dual style by The Queen, Andi Arndt, and Stephen Dexter, who is a worthy consort. Andi is her phenomenal self and Stephen is PERFECTION as Dallas. He goes from funny and cute to dirty-talking alpha male and he will make you soon! Audio heaven!
Thanks, Helena, for the advanced copies and for welcoming into the Badass Babes!
Rep: curvy heroine, ethnic diversity, queer secondary characters
Content notes: bullying, sexism on the job, feelings of abandonment related to adoption
