Chloe Liese is back with a reimagining of Shakespeare’s work and this time it’s “Twelfth Night”. We reconnect with the Wilmot sisters, Juliet now, who’s licking her wounds in Scotland after a bad breakup. She’s not looking for love or connection because she’s feeling very skittish and insecure: can she trust her instincts since after being so very wrong last time?
So, when the most handsome redhead man approaches her in a pub, she gently steps away. She’s not ready. But the Universe thinks otherwise, because she’ll soon find him on her path again, in the most unexpected way.
Will Orsino doesn’t think an HEA is in his future. He knows though that, for the sake of his family’s business, he needs a partner, preferably a wife. However, his chances of wooing someone are zero. Again, the Universe brings him to Juliet once more. They strike a deal – they’ll be each other’s “practice partners”. She’ll feel confident again to put herself out there and she’ll teach him how to flirt.
They say practice makes perfect … and they are perfect for each other.
What a sweet, endearing ending to this series! This book is an ode to romance – wooing, flirting, feeling all the butterflies and finding your person, the one true soul that matches yours. As in all Chloe’s books, these are real people. Will is neurodivergent and Juliet has celiac disease and connective tissue disorder. They treat each other with so much love and respect that you can’t avoid swooning over all the small but very important gestures.
I am so sad to have to part with this crowd!
