Oh my! I was in love with Miles, Penny and Kai from page 1. I love how Corinne keeps us guessing and you know you are heading to some heart stopping moments. However, the romance is always center stage. Miles is book boyfriend material (although he is reluctant to fill this role) and you want all the good things for Penny and Kai. 

The audiobook is narrated in duet by Angelina Rocca and Jason Clarke. Angelina’s soft, melodious, raspy voice is perfect for Penny – a mom who will endure anything for her kid and who can’t believe she found love so unexpectedly. Jason’s deep, growly and warm tone is also perfect for the former Marine who embodies “touch her and die”. What a lovely pairing!

It was joy to go back to Ember Falls with its small town quirks, the Ultimate Frisbee League (that is hilarious), the school day-to-day craziness (the interviews!!! LOL) , the twin siblings banter… so much fun! All that with a suspenseful development that will have you at the edge of your seat. Corinne never disappoints!

Bonus: Penny is Quinn’s sister and we catch up with him and Ashton! (Indefinite duet)
