Penelope wrote a poignant (and unexpectedly low angst, considering) story of a couple deeply in love but who met too young, had to deal with sudden life changes, especially newfound fame, and past trauma. 

Atticus did screw up, but I am giving him the “Ross Geller pass” since they were definitely “on a break” and he can’t really be blamed. The way he worships Nicole is swoon worthy and you root for them to find their way back to each other. Talk about a pining man!

The audiobook is narrated dual style by Angelina Rocca and Sebastian York. Angelina’s soft, raspy tones are perfect to portray Nicole. SebYo’s deep voice also matches Atticus’ personality and emotions. A wonderful listening experience as you’d expect. 

Though a standalone, we catch up with the members of Delirious Jones. The epilogue is perfect!

For fans of second chances, meddling grandmas, teenage love that grows up, rockstars who find their muses.
