Boston’s Irresistible Billionaires #5
ALC provided by Must Love Audio
Author: J. Saman
Narrators: Samantha Brentmoor and Teddy Hamilton
Wren was absolutely smitten with Jack, her brother’s best friend, when she was a teenager. Write Mrs Jack Kincaid with little hearts on her notebooks kind of obsessed. But he was ten years older and just saw her as his bestie’s little sister. Well, things change dramatically when they meet at a masquerade Halloween party and let’s just say things go really off the rails after their meeting.
It’s been five years now and Wren is a medical student doing rotations at the hospital and guess who’s her attending? Yup, Jack. They’ve become notorious enemies and the whole family and circle of friends just sort of accept that they hate each other but now they need to be professional.
Here’s the thing, they never hated each other. That fateful Halloween night is the root of all their problems and now, forced together every day at the hospital, they’ll have to deal with it. Boy, that is when the fun starts…
I LOVED this audiobook! I was gobsmacked by the first chapter and was super curious as to how J. Saman was going to turn that around and she gave us one nemeses to lovers, workplace, brother’s best friend, age gap, spicy romance that I listened to in one sitting!
This one is narrated by now of my favorite pairings, especially in dual narration: Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor. Why, you ask? Well, besides the fact that they are brilliant performers (cocky, obsessed Teddy is a delight), I love when Samantha has to “become Teddy”. It’s fan-freaking-tastic and I squeal when she hits all the Teddy-isms perfectly! Audiobook gold!
I love the strong family vibes here with all the Fritzes and I was grinning as how Jack (unwillingly) turned the tables on Owen with the “I’m dating your sister!”
It’s fun, spicy, there’s toys, Jack’s a bit of a dom, there’s some secret identity, “it’s always been you” and the billionaire is the girl! Just listen to it! Thank me later!
Thanks, @mustloveaudio for the audiobook!
