AUDIOBOOK REVIEW

Thank you, Claudia, for the gifted audiobook!

Nysa left town abruptly a few years ago when she witnessed some scary things happening on her farm, but when her grandma sends for her saying she’s sick, she comes back. Everything is exactly as she left them, except now Hopper Timberbridge and his daughter are her neighbors. At first she thinks she is safe, but she starts getting threats and she becomes afraid for her safety as well as that of her neighbors that she came to love.

Hopper thought the farm adjacent to his was abandoned. To his surprise. Nysa, whom he tutored in high school, is the owner and now she is back. His baby girl is immediately taken with her … and so is he. But Nysa comes with danger, something he can’t afford to have around his kid. And as they grow closer, he’ll do anything to protect his girls.

The audiobook is narrated due style by Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and Connor Crais and they shine here. Stephanie is perfect as the skittish Nysa who’s vulnerable and a little insecure but completely smitten by her neighbors. Connor is in his element here as the protective alpha hero and the loving and dedicated father of a two-year old. And they both shine in their portrayal of little Maddie! It’s adorable!!!

There is a permeating suspense arc going on throughout the story, so you will want to follow the series to finally find out what the heck is going on. The romance reaches a very satisfying HEA and you will be in love with them by the end of the book.

Content notes: criminal activities, kidnapping, taxi family relationships, injuries leading to hospitalization, violence
