Thank you, #partners A. L. Jackson and ValentinePR for the ALC.
Emery arrives at Moonlit Ridge with a mission: contact her niece’s dad as per her late sister’s request. She’s supposed to hand little Macy over to this stranger. She stops at a bar to unwind and there she’s sort of “rescued” from some drunk troublemaker by the bar owner. The attraction between them is instantaneous and they have a scorchingly hot encounter in his office. But she flees as she doesn’t need more complications in her life.
When she gets to Kane Asher’s house to give him the news of his new fatherhood, she’s shocked to see her torrid one night stand open the door.
Kane is confused as to how the beautiful blonde found his house, something he protects deeply due to his ties to Sovereign Sanctum. When he finally learns that she is there to tell him he has a child. his world is turned upside down. His life doesn’t lead up to ‘dad of the year’ material, but he’s completely overwhelmed with love for the little girl with his mother’s eyes.
His life is complicated. Emery comes with secrets. Those secrets are coming for both of them.
Narrated dual style by Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke, who take you on a wild ride! Erin’s sweet and expressive voice shows all the turmoil that lives in Emery’s soul. Jason cornered the market of growly, alpha, broody, protective heroes and he makes Kane absolutely irresistible, even he’s doing evil things (in the name of good).
A. L. Jackson takes us on a thrilling journey with this one. It has the small town vices, the found family that’s a signature in her stories. It also has her other signature that is the unexpected twist and this one is going to make you gasp and believe that sometimes people are just meat to find each other.
I loved this one and I can’t wait to go back to Moonlit Ridge.
