I wanted a fun, light romance and I definitely got it! Maid For Each Other is what would happen if you blended Maid in Manhattan, Pretty Woman, While You Were Sleeping, Cinderella and Goldilocks and it come out so fun!

Abi has several jobs while getting her Master’s in Writing. One of them is cleaning swanky apartments. When her own apartment needs to be fumigated, she decides to play Goldilocks and sleep in one of the apartments she cleans as she knows the owner is out of town. When she wakes up, to her horror, there’s an older couple in te kitchen, eating the muffins she baked the night before. Caught off guard, she doesn’t say anything when they think she’s their son’s girlfriend. They leave, she flees, hoping she won’t get fired for this.

When Declan finds out that his parents met his girlfriend, he’s horrified. What the hell?! He faked an “Abby” to everyone because the firm where he works only takes ‘family men’ seriously. But he needs to find out who this materialization of his lie is. He does and things get complicated when he needs to take this girlfriend to a company event. A deal is struck – she’ll go to the party if she can stay at his apartment for the week. One party turns into more events and… we all know where this is going.

This was narrated dual style by Saylor Bell Curda and Teddy Hamilton. We all know that Teddy can pull off a charming billionaire with his eyes closed! Now, Saylor, new to me, is ADORABLE! I absolutely loved her narration. Her voice is so pleasant to the ear and her performance is chef’s kiss! We need her narrating more!

A book perfect for lovers of fake dating, catching feelings, billionaires with a heart of gold, feisty and funny heroines, unexpected ‘nothing special’ trips to NYC. Lovely!

(Personal note: I would be remiss if I didn’t mention something that irked the Literature teacher here – you don’t use a quote from the MOVIE for a gift to a BOOK person!  Nope!)
