Lucy Quinn is a paramedic. She loves her job but what really makes her heart tick is her podcast where she talks about hockey, more specifically about her beloved Stampedes. She’s infuriated because, apparently the team wants to “summon Booktok” with a hockey romance book club! And they’re doing it thirst trapping their way to it by having annoyingly cocky (and ridiculously handsome) star forward Bennett as the frontman of this PR disaster from hell. Her response? Obviously a call for boycott. What a way to cheapen the sport!

Bennett wasn’t giving this book club much thought until he finds out that a very vocal superfan is talking trash about it. He’s intrigued and, he’s not gonna lie, a little turned on. So he decides to win her over. When the PR department invites her to join the infamous book club, he has his chance. 

I loved this one! Narrated dual style by Savannah Peachwood and J. F. Harding, this one is fun, low angst and pretty funny at times. while very very swoony. Savannah and J. F. are perfect in their roles! Savannah’s voice is always a dream and J.F. can truly make you swoon. 

I loved the funny take on the “thirst trap” in hockey romance phenomenon, especially because, lo and behold, it’s a legit book club! They do read and discuss the books, including Bennett!

This book has a hockey fanatic who’s also a dedicated paramedic, a hunky hockey player who’s got no problems reading romance, a sports podcast hosted by a woman, a sweet dog, a fun book club, one whooper of a secret and a delightful HEA.

So fun!
