Thanks, @laurapavlovauthor for the ALC !

Bridger Chadwick is convinced that Emilia Taylor is responsible for all the gossip her family’s paper posts frequently. The Taylor Tea is Rosewood River’s version of Lady Whistledown and Bridger threw a fit at Emilia’s flower shop because of his ‘convictions’ and that not only caused her to lose business but now her shop’s been egged. She’s been telling him forever that she has nothing to do with it but Bridger has an old beef with her that doesn’t help her cause. The whole Chadwick clan intervenes because all Emilia wants is a simple apology. Bridger has reverted to a schoolboy in the sandbox and refuses to give one to her. He thinks his misguided attempts at ‘burying the hatchet’ (that include gifting her… a toilet!) will be enough. He is wrong!

Amongst all this, they start to unwillingly get to know each other. And when the Rosewood River billionaire hires her to decorate his home, all that time together will certainly change things. If only Bridger would let himself open up…

The audiobook is narrated duet style by Vanessa Vasquez and Jason Clarke. Vanessa gives us a determined, passionate and a little broken Emilia. It’s always a pleasure to listen to her performances. Jason Clarke is just perfect as Bridger, as his signature deep, growly voice is what we expect from this broody, grumpy but vulnerable billionaire.

This one was fun. Their kindergarten recess antics are over the top but you understand where they are coming from and, boy, do they need to heal their inner child!

I love Rosewood River and this one brings the whole Chadwick clan, all the banter, the adorable little kids, airplane spice and family drama. I can’t wait to go back!

Content notes: toxic relationship with a parents, mention of loss of parents, death in childbirth, alcohol addiction
