Her whole world comes crashing down at a red light when she pulls a man out of truck and saves his life. She feels a strange connection to him. Like she knows him. And the last thing she would expect is to find herself in a fake marriage to him.
They are two people with broken souls who are inexplicably connected and, loyal to fault, will do anything for the ones they hold dear. The marriage might be a sham but the feelings are real… and stronger than they could ever imagine.
I don’t know how she can pull it off , but with every single book I fall harder for Melissa’s characters! Zander has been on my radar for a long time. How ill Mellissa ‘tame’ the wild boy? Well, she gave him Shauna and she brought then together in a whimsical, almost magical way.
This book also deal with the hard subject of addiction and recovery. Shauna’s own journey and her dedication to her best friend’s sobriety are heartbreaking, but, as in everything Melissa writes, it is dealt with a soft hand and respect.
We also find out that Zander is severely dyslexic and how it affected his life and how he sees the world and the world ends up seeing him.
I loved everything about this book! The Wickeds are of my favorite families and they, as expected, show up big time for Zander and Shauna.
And who will resist falling in love with a cat named Kitty who has her own Dark Knights cut and motorcycle helmet?!
