Juju and Camden have an adorable meet-cute at the ages of 5 and 7 respectively. They share a love for cooking , they’re neighbors… But soon Camden becomes best friends with her brother and, you know, the ‘bro code’ kicks in: why are you hanging out with my sister?!

The connection between them, however, remains and as, they get older and unable to handle these feelings, it turns into animosity. 

Years pass and Camden is now a Michelin-starred chef in Colorado and Juju runs The Kitty Corner Cafe in Windy Harbor. A family situation brings Camden home. Immediately the sparks are flying and pretty soon it’s a raging fire that gets worse when they, ironically, get snowed in together alone. Time to face what they have known all along. 

Oh, the swoon!  I was in love with this small town, childhood friends to enemies to lovers full of banter, family shenanigans that screams ‘it’s always been you’. I loved how we go back and forth in time because we slowly get how these two got where they are. 

The audiobook is narrated in duet by Rose Dioro and Sebastian York. I will let you all do all the deserved screaming for Sebastian while I fangirl and gush about Rose: sweet mother of pearl! She’s brilliant! Every single character has a unique voice and she ROCKS the Minnesota accent for the grandmothers! I am always in awe of her performances! 

This one is top tier small town enemies to lovers with the ‘boy obsessed’ chef and the sassy baker. I loved the meddling grandparents, the secret dates, the girl squad and … OMG, the tree house! 

I can’t wait to to go back to Windy Harbor!
