When she gets to the small town, she meets this incredibly attractive rancher and decides that she could have some fun. She’s allowed, right? Oh boy, the Universe is really not joking around with her because after a scorching night with the sexy, older cowboy, she finds out that he is none other than her client. It can’t get worse than that! Oh, yeah, wait a minute, it can… because after basically falling in love with the man, with her best friend cheering her on from afar, she finds out that her bestie has been, unbeknownst to everyone involved, pushing her towards her estranged biological dad! She can’t betray her friend! Add all the PR hell that Killian is in, that is truly the stuff of nightmares. Most of all because they just know they are perfect fort each other…. Oh dear. 

The audiobook is narrated in duet by Samantha Brentmoor and Austin Stone. Austin presents us with a myriad voices for all the male characters. Samantha is her usual amazing self, injecting a vulnerability and a tenderness in Tessa that makes us want to root for her and want everything to work out in the end for this girl.

In this one, besides the small town vibes, the Ultimate Frisbee shenanigans and the steamy vibes, we also get some signature Corinne mystery/suspense. Who the heck is behind all this trouble?! I loved all the twists! 

I am sorry to see the end of the series, but in the same fashion that her OG characters keep popping around her series, who knows if we won’t revisit Ember Falls in some way or another in the future?

I am always looking forward to whatever Corinne brings next!
