And this one hit the ground running – Braedyn is introduced to us in a heartbreaking prologue where she loses her best friend, her ride or die, Nova, who disappears without a trace on a hiking trail. A year later, Brae moves to Starlight Grove with one goal in mind: find what happened to Nova. 

When she arrives at her new cabin with her 8-year old boy, she’s welcomed by a VERY naked Dex Archer. They get off on the wrong foot but pretty soon her new neighbor becomes a fixture in her and Owen’s life.

Dex just wants peace and quiet. After a 10-year stint at the FBI in exchange for not getting arrested for hacking into their system, he’s back home. But home isn’t a comfortable place. Home is where everybody knows the Archer boys were raised by a serial killer father. The last thing he needs is a gorgeous neighbor with a super cool little boy… and the kind of help she needs is the kind of help he and his brothers have been providing in secret for people who have been searching for missed loved ones. 

The audiobook is PHENOMENAL! Narrated duet style by Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke with the luxurious help of Sebastian York, Teddy Hamilton, Adam Gold and Connor Crais as the Archers. Samantha’s performance is flawless as the determined, passionate and vulnerable Brae – a mama bear and a true friend. Jason is in his ‘natural habitat’: growly, protective, grumpy but oh-so- swoony. The other guys bring their immense talents and make this an even more incredible audio experience. 

Catherine NEVER disappoints and we have a small town where murder-y things happens, found family, a hilarious meet-cute, ‘creative’ cookie baking, baby daddy drama, loyal brothers, a geeky little boy, a sassy little girl, a jaw dropping climax and an incredibly satisfying HEA. 10 out of 10. No notes!
