The Bradley Legacy #6

Thanks, @authorlisasuzanne and @mustloveaudio for the gifted ALC.
Liam Bradley is sick of being the ‘backup plan’- he’s not the starter QB on his team (well, he doesn’t even HAVE a team now), the one his family relies for everything… He’s not looking for anything other than his very casual hookups. All this goes down the drain when he runs into his sister’s bestie. She’s older, going through a divorce and has two little boys. In a spur of the moment decision, he offers his place for her and the kids. But maybe it was the beer, the vibes but they (GASP!) hook up. And now he can’t think of any other woman.
Penny can’t believe she not only hooked up with her best friend’s ‘baby brother’ but also decided to move in with him while she goes through the divorce proceedings from her crappy husband. Now they can’t get their hands off of each other, her boys are in love with ‘Uncle Liam’ and everything just feels…. right.
But things get really complicate with each passing day: her husband is making her life hell, Liam signs with a team in San Diego and one of his past hookups has just informed him that he is going to be a dad. They might as well quit whatever this is.
The audiobook is narrated dual style by Bridget Bordeaux and Ryan Lee Dunlap, a new pairing to me and I absolutely loved them together. Bridget’s performance is perfect as the mama bear who finds herself in lust (and love) with the unexpected perfect man. Ryan is swoony as Liam. His warm, soothing voice suits for Liam’s green flag, reformed bad boy and unexpected dad to a T. Incredible performances!
What you get: sister’s best friend, age gap (OW/YM), cute little boys, the sweetest housekeeper, secret lovers, a ‘fuck it’ moment, football careers, forced proximity, an unnecessary selfless grand gesture, an obnoxious ex-husband, surprise baby, family drama but lots of spice and lots of love.
Note: this is book 6 in a series but can totally be listened to as a standalone.
Content notes (including but not limited to): feelings of inadequacy, hostile divorce proceedings and custody battle, accidental pregnancy (not FMC), dealing with a parent on trial
