We’re back at Tilton University with the gang and what fun! We’ve met Ophelia (Fee) and Mac in the other books we couldn’t be happier to see their romance because… SWOON. They’ve been friends for a while, they totally have feelings for each other. but in classic ‘everyone can see it but them’, they don’t think they have a shot. 

But the Universe (and a horde of puck bunnies) intervenes: Mac has problem. They girls won’t stop hitting on him and it’s becoming distracting both to school and hockey activities. Enter Fee. She tells the girls she’s his girlfriend. Perfect solution. Fake dating mode activated. Well, the true feelings mode was already activated. Plus Mac might be a Tilton heartthrob, but he’s not as experienced as one might expect. 

Helena Hunting always manages to turn me into a teenager, kicking my feet and swooning with her books and this is no exception. The audiobook is narrated by Kat Auden and Alex Kydd and they put their heart and soul in their performances. Fee is funny, sassy and loving while carrying the effects of big losses in her life and Kat shows us all these feelings. Alex plays a Mac as a softie, smitten, gentle giant who is caring and loving. He may be inexperienced but the boy can dirty talk! it’s a slow burn but we can feel the heat amping up! 

What you get: a Banksy-like artist who’s also an unexpected ‘hockey coach’, a demisexual heartthrob who’s totally smitten with his girl. slow burn, friends becoming lovers when ‘it’s always been  you’. aspiring to be the best that you can be, mutual goals and a sweet and warm HEA.

If you are a Toronto Terror fan, you’ll be in heaven as Fee is intrinsically connected to the team, I was grinning from ear to ear seeing some favorite and beloved characters popping up on the  page. 

I never thought I’d ever say these words but I can’t wait to go back to school!
