Oh my heart! I’m completely in love with this whimsical world B.K. Borison created. And what a delicate touch to deal with such a heavy subject: death and grief. You can’t not feel for Darcy, whose mortal life was riddled with disease and then she gets the most depressing assignment of all in her eyes. That’s where B.K. shines. She deals with it all with such tenderness and respect that it will bring tears to your eyes (Please read the author’s note). 

Now, the audiobook. Oh my stars. Narrated in duet by Angelina Rocca and Stephen Dexter in performances that had me saying out loud: THAT is what I love about audiobooks! Angelina’s Darcy is despondent yet hopeful (hard to achieve). She’s a bit sassy and totally alluring. Stephen channels the Guardian Angel in a performance that will have you sobbing. Absolute audio perfection.

What you get: a touching romance about a Reaper and a Guardian Angel, corporate shenanigans (no one trains an employee?! C’mon!), quirky characters. an 8-year-old who’s wise (or a wisecracker) beyond her years, finding your soul mate, returning to your soul mate and a whimsical HEA. And yes, you have a little cameo…
