Conrad Shepard appears to have it all: he’s Moonshot Hockey’s star defenseman, he’s got great friends, he’s easy on the eyes… BUT he’s basically a hockey version of Raj Koothrapali (Big Bang Theory reference here) when it comes to the ladies. He opens his mouth and … zilch! His teammates and their girlfriends are trying hard to set him up but it always ends in disaster. 

Until he’s sent to volunteer at the local high school, helping with their hockey camp. And he meets HER: Coach Whitney. She’s beautiful, funny, warm and she knows a lot about hockey. Well, too bad she too renders him speechless. 

Whitley loves hockey. Sadly her hockey player days were short and she is now coaching JV and teaching Math at the local school. She’s fine with it. But she’s also grown up in the hockey world and the last thing she will do is date a hockey player. But when Conrad shows up at the rink, she’s the one rendered speechless. The man is gorgeous! 

At first glance, it seems he’s not interested but then he blurts out an invitation to a date. And one awkward date leads to another until they are completely smitten with each other. 

Small problem: Conrad’s number one enemy on the ice (and maybe off too) is Whitney’s brother. 

Oh this one was sweet! I always know Rebecca will bring the swoon and this one has it to spare. Conrad is adorable as the fumbling, hunky virgin (well, you can’t really score when you can’t even speak… ) and he’s top tier book boyfriend material. Whitney is a fun hockey lover turned into Math teacher and coach and you like her from the start. 

What you get: small town hockey romance goodnesss, a fumbling and adorable hunk, a dedicated hockey coach and teacher, a gaggle of supportive friends, a bully who lashes out because he gets his share of bullying, movie nights (Dirty Dancing!), small and grand gestures, being there for the one you love, an unexpected surprise that changes everything and lovely HEA! I can’t wait for the next one!
