Thanks, @corinnemichaels for the gifted audiobook.

Small towns can be wonderful… or they can be hell. That’s what Harper and Ares are finding out. They’re both in a less than ideal situation: Harper’s just learned that her ex-fiancé and her ex best friend are getting married and want HER in the bridal party and Ares has just returned to town to take over his late grandfather’s medical practice, revamp its and sell it so that he can go back to Chicago.

And when a situation with the exes puts her on the spot and Harper tells the happy couple that Ares is her boyfriend, he plays along. From that comes a deal – he’ll attend the wedding with her and play doting boyfriend and she’ll ingratiate him with the town that’s not willing to accept him as a doctor.

One wedding from hell coming up, a meddling senior or two, and fake dates that start feeling more real and feelings are caught. Too bad this arrangement has an expiration date…

All the swoon for Dr. Fancy Pants and his fake girlfriend! I love all Corinne’s books but her swoony, western, small town era has me kicking my feet! Though I am dreading the day when she decides it’s time to off some characters willy nilly with no mercy again… LOL

The audiobook is narrated in duet by Desirée Ketchum and Jason Clarke and these two together are synonymous to top notch narration. Desirée’s expressive performances always wow me and she’s lovely as the sassy (but a little broken) Harper. Jason brings all the swoon as the small town boy turned into a big city doctor who’s returning home ‘under duress’. Infinity Ridge was never in his plans and now he has Harper to consider and it rocks his world. These two together make spicy, banter-y magic!

As in all Corinne’s books, you have the element of family as the center point and Harper’s siblings are there for her. We also have the adorable meddling mastermind who’s always scheming behind the scenes – and  their success rate is 100% so far!

I can’t wait to go back to Infinity Ridge!

Content notes (including but not limited to): mentions of cheating, loss of patient (and legal consequences related to it), loss of a family member, secondary character suffers a heart attack on page
