Thanks, @laurapavlovauthor for the ALC.
We’re back in Blushing, Alaska! Violet, one of the girls running The Blushing Bride, is renovating her house after accidentally flooding it. She has no place to stay and ends up staying in her contractor’s guesthouse. The man is grumpy but oh so attractive, and he puts up with her constant changes in design. Soon they are reaching boiling point, so why not ‘bang it out’ and get it out of their systems? Yeah, that worked out well… and Violet is also absolutely enamored of his kid, Harper.
Charlie Huxley has one love – Harper, the six-year-old darling he is raising by himself. But now he has hurricane Violet in his backyard and she’s crashing her way into his heart.
This was absolutely lovely! I loved this enemies to lovers, full of banter and sexual tension romance. I equally fell in love with the sweetest kid in Alaska: little Harper is adorable!
The audiobook is narrated dual style by two of my favorites and they knocked it out of the park: Erin Mallon and Connor Crais. Erin’s performances never disappoints and she brings a feisty, passionate Violet who has to learn she’s worthy of love. She’s also perfection as Harper. There’s nothing better than Daddy Connor! (Take your minds out of the gutter!) He definitely channels all the dad energy in this one while being swoony too as Charlie falls for Violet.
I love this small town romance with the grumpy single dad, the vulnerable but competent wedding planner. We also have wedding shenanigans, family drama, baby mama drama, playground accidents, wedding hashtags and a pinkalicous HEA. Loved it!
Content notes: child abandonment, toxic family dynamics child custody issues
