Astrid Lawson is a busy woman. She’s the PA for the owner of the Royals (and his wife Blakely, The Brewers) and she has a few side hustles to cover the debt her crappy ex left her in. The last thing she needs is to babysit the Royals’ latest hire – Gray Adler – whose reputation precedes him. She hated him from the moment they met (the meet cute from hell) and every single day he gives her one more reason to hate him even more. 

Gray Adler can’t believe his luck. Being hired by the Royals was the Hail Mary that he needed. He needs this to go right because every single thing in his life seems to go wrong, but to have to deal with a babysitter?? Renn Brewer calls her his PA but he knows he just got himself a ‘handler’.  Yeah, he can’t say no, but he can make her quit, right?

Soon they’ll learn that the personas they put out into the world are not who they really are and boy, different sparks will fly! 

This was a fun, low angst, sports romance (rugby!) that warmed my heart.  Narrated in dual style by Mollie Stark and Sebastian York, you can’t help but fall in love with Astrid and Gray. Mollie’s raspy and melodious voice is perfect for Astrid, showing the sassy, take-no-prisoners PA and the vulnerable woman beneath the sass. We all know what Sebastian can do with a grump! Gary is obnoxious but we soon see he is an absolutely gooey hero on the inside. 

I had so much with this audiobook. We caught up with Renn and Blakely and got to meet some pretty fun characters. I want all their stories! 

If you love a tenacious and determined heroine, a broken hero wit a heart of gold, beautiful friendships, finding your person and healing past wounds, you’ll love this one.
