The audiobook is narrated in duet by the lovely voices of Angelina Rocca and Christian Fox. Angelina’s portrayal of Hallie is perfect: caring, loving, loyal, vulnerable but ready to ride at dawn for those she loves. Christian is swoony as the dedicated dad who’s finally realizing that the love of his life has been right in the front of him for most of his life. Plus Jesse is a major green flag. And the chemistry? Chef’s kiss. 

It’s a lovely holiday romance, with a woman who knows what it’s like to be abandoned by her mom stepping up for a little girl who is just like her… and the girl’s dad happens to be her dream come true. I love how this was a ‘everyone can see it but them’, with the family covertly doing things to push them together. Sweet and spicy and everything nice. 

You’ll get: yearning, mood boards, stepping up for a little girl, a teenage crush turned into reality, ‘it’s always been you’, a literal Jane doe and all the feels.
